Scholarships

The Raman–Charpak Fellowship programme is in honour of two Nobel Laureates in Physics, Prof C.V. Raman, Indian Nobel Laureate (1930) and Prof Georges Charpak, French Nobel Laureate (1992). The Fellowship was launched during the State visit of the President of France to India in February 2013. The aim is to facilitate the exchange of doctoral students between the two countries and to broaden the scope and depth of future engagements in Science, Technology and Innovation.

The research areas are Atmospheric Sciences, Earth Sciences & Environmental Sciences, Materials Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Biological Sciences, Life& Medical Sciences, and Mathematical & Computational Sciences.

Applicants must be Indian citizens residing in India and have registered for a PhD in a recognized university or research institution in India, The Maximum age is 30 years as on 1st April of the call year. Students once supported by CEFIPRA and students who have a permanent position in institutions/universities are not eligible. Pre-authorization or prior consent from his/her Institute / University to apply for a foreign fellowship program. The duration of this program is 2 to 6 months. Numerous scholarships are available for outstanding students pursuing higher education in Singapore. These include

• Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA): For post-graduation-seeking students, the Science & Technology.
• Undergraduate Scholarship from the National University of Singapore: The scholarship is awarded to freshmen pursuing a full-time undergraduate programme at NUS. The scholarship also covers students in Double Degree and Joint Degree Programmes and covers only the undergraduate program for students in Concurrent Degree Programmes.
• Lee Kong Chian Graduate Scholarships: LKCSP scholars can look forward to a full four-year tuition fee waiver, a one-off notebook grant, annual living allowance, and sponsorship for global opportunities.
• NUS Graduate School Scholarships: For PhD (Research) students

South Korea offers many scholarships that are provided by the Korean government as well as by other organizations and Corporates. Some scholarships are meant for Indian students, while others are for all international students. Most universities provide 30 to 100% scholarships to international students depending on their grades, and each scholarship can be checked through the website of the relevant university or foundation. • Asia Artistic Talent (AMA) Scholarship Student By Korea National University of Arts: For Arts field (music, dance, art, video, theater, traditional arts) in Undergraduate and graduate school.
• POSCO TJ Park Foundation (Scholarship for Asian students to study in Korea): For master's or doctoral program excluding MBA.
• Korea Foundation (Korean Major Graduate Student Fellowship): For master's and doctoral programs.
• Daewoong Foundation (Global Scholarship Program, GSP): For International students attending domestic universities/graduate schools and who have the will to find a job or settle down in Korea after graduation.

There are funding supports offered by Tata Trusts for deserving students and researchers in pursuit of knowledge through initiatives such as research scholarships, loans, and travel grants.

This is a grant for candidates who are keen on pursuing the Commercial Pilot’s License course, or for those who would like to pursue type rating after obtaining their license to fly a certain type of aircraft.
